Around 100 students from 37 countries of Europe and Asia visited the USA to participate in the educational program “Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows”, held under the auspices of the U.S. State Department.
Among them were the 16 year old Efthymios Skoufas from Larissa and the 18 year old Andreas Georgiadis from Nicosia, Cyprus. The program, as they said aims towards bringing students from Europe and Asia in contact with the U.S. political system, as well as the daily lives of American citizens, providing them the opportunity to obtain a complete idea of the American culture.
The two students were really impressed by Wake Forest University, the educational institution which mainly accommodated them. During the last days of their journey, the students will be hosted by American families.
