SUBJECT:EDUCATIONAL TRAINING OF 12 HELLENE TEACHERS FROM THE COUNTRIES OF THE BLACK SEA
Cyprus, 30/6/2004
The educational training program for 12 Hellene Teachers from the countries of the Black Sea was completed on June 25, 2004. The program was organized by the Pedagogic Institute of Cyprus in cooperation with the World Council of Hellenes Abroad-Europe Region.
At a special event organized for the conclusion of the program the following were present: the Director of the Pedagogic Institute, Mr. Nikos Orfanidis, the Director of Elementary Education, Mr. Savvas Nikolaidis, SAE Vice-President/ Coordinator for Europe, Mr. Angelo Aslanidis, SAE Secretary, Ms. Eleni Konstantinidou, teachers and trainers.
Ms. Christina Karatzia, responsible for the Program, stressed the fact that the trainees showed great interest for the learning of the Greek Language as a foreign language, the Greek Culture and the customs of Cyprus, while she spoke of the progress and interests of each one of the teachers.
At her speech, Ms. Tatiana Patritsia from Ukraine, thanked all agencies that were involved to the organizing of the program and noted that they return to their countries with more knowledge for Greece and Cyprus and were given all necessary knowledge in order to be able to teach both Greek language and culture.
