SAE BOARD MEETS IN THESSALONIKI, JUNE 1-3, 2004
Thessaloniki, 27/5/2004

The new 11-member Board of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) that was elected during the 5th World SAE Convention on December 2003, will hold its meeting on June 1-3, 2004 at SAE Thessaloniki Offices. Mr. Andrew A. Athens, SAE President will be presiding.

During this first regular meeting for 2004, the Board Members will present their Activities Report and SAE�s Action Plans until the end of the year, while the Board will also discuss the Strategic Plan for SAE for the period 2004-2010. On these issues, SAE Board and SAE Networks� Coordinators (Women, Youth, Culture, Business and Scientists), will have a joint meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Panayiotis Skandalakis.

SAE Board will also meet with the Minister of Macedonia-Thrace, Mr. Nikolaos Tsiartsionis, the Alternate Minister of Culture, Ms. Fani Palli-Petralia, the Prefect of Thessaloniki, Mr. Panayiotis Psomiadis and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Vasilis Papageorgopoulos, while it will also meet with the Presidium of the Special Permanent Committee of the Parliament for Issues of Hellenism Abroad, Mr. Evgenios Haitidis, President, Mr. Grigoris Niotis, A� Vice-President, Mr. Nikolaos Gatzis, B� Vice-President and Mr. Alexandros Alavanos, Secretary.

Parallel to SAE Board Meetings, the Board of the Foundation of Hellenes Abroad and the Board of the National Fund of Hellenes Abroad (ETO) will also hold their regular meetings.
