Eight years after the establishment of SAE we have acquired valuable experience and knowledge, always in close cooperation with the Government and especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as with all political parties. We are moving towards the development of mid-term and long-term actions that will lead us to achieve SAEs vision and goals, Mr. Athens said.

Immediate priority will be given to the support of Youth, Education and Culture. At the same time the development of the very successful medical program as well as the promotion of the Olympic Games through the educational/ cultural project Teach Olympics around the world will continue in the same manner. SAEs primary goal remains the pursuing of our National Issues and especially Cyprus Issue, issues relevant to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

The Deputy Minister and the Board noted the need of better coordination with all Ministries and agencies for the better promotion of issues relevant to the Omogeneia, especially of educational issues.

The mistakes we have done in the past should not be repeated, and I believe that SAE, the GGAE, the Special Permanent Committee of the Parliament for Issues of Hellenism Abroad and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will work in unity and will produce results to the benefit of the Omogeneia around the world, Mr. Skandalakis said.
