ALTERNATE PRESIDENT
Stefanos P. Tamvakis concluded his meetings with the Omogeneia in South Africa

SAE Alternate President, Mr. Stefanos P. Tamvakis concluded his meetings with the Omogeneia in South Africa. Today afternoon, Mr. Tamvakis attended a lunch hosted by the Metropolitan of Johannesburg and Pretoria, Mr. Serafeim.

Last night, SAE Vice-President/ Coordinator for Asia-Africa, Mr. Vasilis Magdalinos in cooperation with the Metropolis and the President of the Federation of Hellenic Communities of South Africa, Mr. Manikas, organized at the Hellenic Community of Alberton a special event with the presence of members of the Omogeneia and the church as well as of Hellene diplomats. SAE Alternate President presented SAE�s activities in areas such are culture, education and youth as well as the future goals of the organization as set during the recent SAE Board Meeting in Thessaloniki in the beginning of June. More than 20 Presidents of Hellenic Communities and Associations of South Africa and many Hellenes participated at the discussion.

On June 21 the Consul General of Greece, Ms. Aliferi hosted a working dinner for the Metropolitan of Johannesburg and Pretoria, the Charge d� Affairs of the Greek Embassy, Mr. Dimitis Yiannakakis, Mr. Magdalinos, Mr. Manikas and the President of Hellenes of Egypt and Sudan, Mr. Kostas Georgiou. During dinner they all discussed the possibility of SAE�s cooperation with the church and the Communities in South Africa.

During his visit in South Africa, Mr. Tamvakis met with Hellene business people in order to find ways for their activation and cooperation with the World Council of Hellenes Abroad.
