Thessaloniki, 15/3/2005

The Board of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) will hold its regular meeting at SAE Thessaloniki Offices on March 16-19, 2005.
According to the Agenda the 11-member Board will discuss issues pertaining SAE Strategic Planning and the Codification of the proposals on SAE�s Enabling Law. SAE Board Members will present reports on SAE�s activities since the last SAE Board meeting that was held on December 2004 and discuss issues such are: SAE�s Medical Program, Human Rights for Hellenes in Georgia, Education, ELLINIADA, etc.
Parallel to the meeting of the SAE Board, the Board of the National Fund of Hellenes Abroad will also meet.
On March 18, SAE Board will meet in common with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Panayiotis Skandalakis to discuss the SAE Board Members� proposals on SAE�s Enabling Law and other similar issues.
During the last day of the meetings the SAE Board will meet with the Minister of Macedonia-Thrace, Mr. Nikolaos Tsiartsionis, the Prefect of Thessaloniki, Mr. Panayiotis Psomiadis and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Vasilis Papageorgopoulos. The SAE Board has also invited the representatives-secretaries of the political parties for issues of Hellenism Abroad: Mr. Vasilis Pappas, New Democracy, Dimitris Dollis, PASOK, Nikolaos Gatzis, KKE and Vasilis Primikiris, SYN in order to discuss issues relevant to SAE Board Members� proposals for SAE�s Enabling Law.
The works of the SAE Board Meeting will conclude with a common meeting with the Presidium of the Special Permanent Committee of the Parliament for Issues of Hellenism Abroad, Mr. Evgenios Haitidis, President, Mr. Gregory Niotis, A� Vice-President, Mr. Nikolaos Gatzis, B� Vice-President and Mr. Nikolaos Konstantopoulos, Secretary.
