OCEANIA REGION
Press Release
Melbourne, 10/6/2005

SAE Oceania is supporting and assisting the efforts of the Hellenic Community of Mascot to promote knowledge of Ancient Greek.

Classes are being conducted every Thursday night between 7 and 9pm in the Meeting Room of Mascot Public School (entry from King Street).

For further details and enrolments contact Vera on 0425291259 or Michael Boutsalis the President of the Community on 96673070 or the SAE office on 96674733.

It is appropriate to state that Ancient Greek is being recognised worldwide as a unique language comparable to no other eg (1) see CNNs Hellenic Quest, (2) Apple, in developing a special programme to learn Ancient Greek states: it is a tool that develops societys creativity (3) Ancient Greek has 6 million word forms (to date) compared to 790,000 for English. (4) Scientists continue to be amazed by the mathematical structure of the language and consider it as the only language without limits.

If any of this has whet your appetite then see you on Thursday nights at Mascot.
