Already larger than ever with 124 Representatives, goal is to make Congressional Caucus even more broad-based and influential
CHICAGO, IL, June 14, 2005 Defending Greeces national concerns around the world is an important part of Œs Mission, explained V.P. and Regional Coordinator Chris P. Tomaras after announcing that each member of the U.S. 109th Congress had recently been contacted by his office and either thanked for already being a member of the Caucus on Hellenic Issues, or encouraged to join. This Caucus, founded in 1996 and still Co-Chaired by Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York and Rep. Mike Bilirakis of Florida, is the embodiment of the goodwill Greece enjoys from the many philhellenes in the U.S. Congress, and the most effective way for Greek-Americans to make their voice heard. Our work on this will be done when every member of Congress is a member, so if some our omogenias Representatives arent members yet, lets see that they become members! Tomaras said.
