V.P. CHRIS TOMARAS OFFERS MEANINGFUL ADVICE AS GUEST SPEAKER AT 2005 MBA PROGRAM GRADUATION FOR ANATOLIA / AMERICAN COLLEGE OF THESSALONIKI
Chicago, 7/10/2005

A special treat for the graduates is how the address of Vice President Chris P. Tomaras to the MBA graduates of the American College of Thessaloniki was characterized, following the Programs Commencement Exercises held at the Thessaloniki campus of the college on October 1.
Tomaras, who also serves on the Board of Trustees of Anatolia/ACT, was invited to be Guest Speaker for the 2005 MBA Programs Commencement.  The 30 graduates heard Tomaras offer them guidance and advice which, when applied, can serve both as the foundation and the basis for success for their future professional lives.  The principal theme of Tomaras remarks was the importance of ethics and honest behavior in everyday life, but especially for todays entrepreneurs.  In order to be successful as businesspeople you need to have both courage and persistence... making decisions and moves that move you toward successful achievement of your goals.  But the most important factor in your professional career, and in your life overall, will be your morals, your character and your honesty.  It is impossible to dominate in the business world if you are being dominated by immoral and dishonest behavior, Tomaras advised the graduates.

The Commencement Exercises were honored by the presence of the representative of the Prefect of Thessaloniki, Vasilis Tsoulikas; the Chairman of Anatolias Board of Trustees,  George Bissel; Anatolia/ACTs President, Richard L. Jackson; the Director of Postgraduate Programs, Dr. Nikos Kourkoumelis; teachers, parents, and officers of the Anatolia/ACT Alumni Association, along with a throng of friends and observers.

About the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT)/Anatolia
ACT is the university division of Anatolia, an integrated educational center now well into its second century of service to students from Greece and all over the world. ACT evolved from a seminary established near Constantinople in 1840, took the name Anatolia College in 1886, and was relocated to Thessaloniki, Greece in 1924.   At the university level, ACT offers a four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science program and  1-2 year MBA with 500 students from over 20 countries and accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the body that also accredits Harvard and MIT.  ACTs Bissell Library and its Stavros Niarchos Technology Center, inaugurated in 2002, are among the most sophisticated facilities of their kind in Southeast Europe.
