In a few days, Hellenes around the world will celebrate with a deep sense of duty and national pride, the anniversary of March 25th, 1821, and will participate in all events organized by the Omogeneia around the world.
On this special occasion, our homeland is in our hearts and on minds once more and we will honor all those heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom and independence. Among those heroes are many distinguished individuals from the Hellenic Diaspora and countless philhellenes who joined us in this struggle for freedom. We can never forget the Diaspora organizers of Filiki Etairia, the inspiration that sparked the national struggle. Their sacrifice still guides us as we continue our efforts to honor the values of Hellenism and Orthodoxy, our culture and our customs that we preserve faithfully in hour host countries.
The best tribute to this holiday is to follow the spirit of unity and to proudly carry our Greek identity.
We, Hellenes around the world, who have become distinguished members in the societies where we live, on this occasion again state our commitment that we will continue to operate as solid bridges of friendship among our homeland and our host countries.
The World Council of Hellenes Abroad which has consistently supported our Hellenic Issues and has advanced issues relevant to Omogeneia around the world, is certain that we can cultivate a new movement to further philhellenism and Hellenic values.
I wish you all, Hellenes in the Diaspora and in Hellas, Good health, Happiness and Success.
