SAE President Sends Congratulatory Message to Konstantinos Karamanlis, vows cooperation

Andrew A. Athens, President of the World Council of Hellenes (SAE) has sent to Mr. Konstantinos Karamanlis, President of the New Democracy party, a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the victory of New Democracy in the national elections of Hellas.
�I am very pleased to extend my personal congratulations to you on the resounding vote of confidence the people of Greece expressed in you and in the New Democracy Party,� Mr. Athens stated. �These are exciting times for you, for Greece and for the Omogeneia and I am happy to be able to offer to you my pledge of personal support and cooperation as you assume the office of Prime Minister and enter this new phase of public service.
�I am confident that under your leadership Greece will thrive and that her international role will continue to grow both in the Balkans and in the Eastern Mediterranean.
�As President of the Council of Hellenes Abroad, I look forward to congratulating you in person and in speaking with you on the important role SAE can play helping to keep the Omogeneia united and committed to Greece, Hellenism and Orthodoxy.
�With the warmest patriotic regards from the entire Board of the Council of Hellenes Abroad along with our commitment for a positive and harmonious working relations.�
On the occasion of the national election, Mr. Athens also sent messages to other political leaders vowing his commitment to continued cooperation on issues common to Hellenes in Greece and in the Diaspora.
