In the gardens of the sea cultures coexist, create and lead in to the roads of Hellenism...
The Greek language and our cultural wealth is the compass leading us to the future. Their preservation and promotion throughout the world consist the main objective and goal of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad.
Through a series of Programs for the Greek Language, Teachers' Training courses, Student and Professors Exchange, recording and expansion of Academic Chairs and Departments of Hellenic Studies around the world and Programs for the promotion of the Greek Culture with exhibitions and events worldwide, SAE showcases, protects and develops the most important parts of our National Identity.
With the support of the Ministries of Education, Culture, Foreign Affairs, the General Secretariat of Greeks Abroad and other educational and cultural agencies around the world, the World Council of Hellenes Abroad, the Scientists Network and the Culture Network of SAE, create the basis for the preservation, support and use of Hellenic education and culture all over the world.

| IDISYEEP |
The World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) and the SAE Scientists Network in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University Macedonia of Thessaloniki and the Higher Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, have formed a new agency, the Institute of International Cooperation of Greek Scientists (IDISYEEP).
This Institute is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and anticipates to create those structures that will promote the organized networking of Greek and Hellene Abroad Scientists.
The goal of IDISYEEP is to develop cooperation on a scientific, educational and social level.

| "ELLINIADA" |
|
SAE and the Ministry of Culture founded Elliniada to support even further the ties of young Hellenes abroad with Greece, through athletic games and cultural events for Hellenes Abroad.
Through the athletic games, Hellene youth from abroad will have the opportunity to meet each other and mainly to get acquainted with a part of their homeland, a part of modern Greece. The cultural events will promote the endeavours and work of Hellene artists in Greece, thus proving one more time the huge potential is hidden within Hellenism.
The first "ELLINIADA
was organized in Thessaloniki on June 2003 with the participation of young athletes and artists from all continents. Hellene Youth offered us an example of solidarity, unity and hope for the future of Hellenism. We had the opportunity to enjoy the achievements of our Omogeneia youth in sports and culture and to realize that in every corner of the world there is a Greece that struggles, creates and moves successfully to the future.

| ADOPT A CHURCH |
After almost 80 years of abandonment, many Greek Orthodox churches in the countries of the Black Sea, the Balkans and North Africa need renovation, equipment and religious materials.
The Adopt-A-Church program aims to pair churches worldwide with struggling churches of the countries of the Black Sea, the Balkans and Africa, but also to trace and create an archive of the Monuments and Heirlooms of great historical importance and cultural and literal value for the Omogenia.
SAE in cooperation with the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Archdioceses Abroad and Greece, has proceeded to the research and recording of the requests and needs of the churches. Further the preparation of studies has begun for churches in the Black Sea, the Balkans and North Africa, while parishes are being recruited in America, Australia and Europe to proceed in adoptions and fraternizations.
Beyond the financial support, the network of fraternized Hellenic Orthodox Communities aims to also create training programs for clergymen, icon and heirloom preservation workshops, exhibits for the promotion of Hellenism in the Balkans, the Black Sea and Africa, as well as youth hospitality and exchange programs.
