The reinstatement of the Thessaloniki Office in a new space during the Summer of 2000 was a major step for SAE. The headquarters of SAE is now hosted at a space that was granted to SAE from the City of Thessaloniki through a private donation of Mr. Thomas Makridis.

The initial stage of reinstatement focused in creating the technological infrastructure of the space. The Office includes an event hall, administrative offices, a conference and projection room, tele- and videoconference equipment. In addition 30 workstations were projected with full cabling for computers through Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), the internet and e-mail access.

The second stage focused on the further development and utilization of the space and infrastructure of the Office in order to promote SAE's work and the ongoing improvement of the services provided.

For this purpose a team of outside consultants consisting of an Architect, a Civil Engineer, an Electrical Engineer conducted an architectural study and a study for the development of a complete informational system with the cooperation of the Office Director and personnel. The immediate goal is to raise the funds required for the implementation of these studies.
