About this Forum
This Forum comprises of Conferences grouped into Categories. Each Conference hold a number of messages. Some of these messages, are called topics and are starting a discussion. Users can follow up these topics and create a thread, that is a number of messages that refer to the same topic.
A schematic representation of this forum is seen below:
Moderators
Each conference can be moderated or not. If moderated then the Moderator of the conference can delete unwanted messages and ban users.
Message Approval (applies to moderated conferences only)
A conference may need message approval. A new message does not appear in this conference, unless the moderator approves it for publishing.
Secure Conferences
The user is required to register in order to post a message. Registration includes selecting a nickname and a password.
Other users may find out who the owner of the nickname is. A conference can be open or secure.
Open Conferences
Open conferences can support anonymous users. A user is not required to register in order to post a message. But he/she is using the anonymous nickname.
Unread Messages
All messages are marked unread for every new user. You may place a mark just before you leave our forum,
by selecting the "Mark All Read" from your personal menu on the left. The next time you'll log in you
will see how many new messages have been posted, since your last visit.
