The World Camp is a program of the General Secretariat for Hellenism Abroad And the General Secretariat of Youth and is organized in cooperation with the World Council of Hellenes Abroad and the Youth Forum.
The program will consist of four periods of ten days each. The periods are as follows:

• Period A 07.10.2001 - 07.20.2001
• Period B 07.21.2001 - 07.31.2001
• Period C 08.07.2001 - 08.17.2001
• Period D 08.18.2001 - 08.28.2001

You can fill out Forms of Applications at the offices of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad and the Youth Forum of your district, the SAE WWW site, as well at the Greek Embassy or Consulate of your area.

Youth over 18 years old whose at least one parent is of Greek origin can participate at the program.

The program of World Camp 2001 includes various events. Among others the program includes visits at archeological sites, walk at mount Olympus, musical nights, dance groups, Greek movies, many cultural events and athletic activities.

During the days of camping youth will have the opportunity to discuss issues of their concern (violence, xenophobia, drugs), as well as participate at speeches on issues relevant to Greek tradition and culture. All the above will be organized in cooperation with the Aristotle University and University Macedonia.

During the days of the program youth will have the opportunity to be informed on Olympic Games of 2004, volunteerism and the activities and programs of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad and the Youth Forum. At the same time a number of workshops (cooking, dancing, etc.), will be operating.

The expenses for the staying at the camp, eating and internal traveling as well as those for the programmed activities are covered in total by the GGAE.
