The General Secretary for Greeks Abroad in cooperation with the General Secretary for Youth, the World Council of Hellenes Abroad and the Youth SAE Forum, within the context of the World Camp 2001, offers the opportunity to Hellene Youth from all over the world to participate at the World Camp 2001. The program follows a series of hospitality programs organized by the GGAE, which since 1984 until today have included more than 30.000 Hellene youth from all continents.

This year 1300 Hellene Youth ages 18 to 25 οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½, who are permanent residents abroad and who have at least one parent of Greek origin, will be staying at Camping OLYMPUS of the General Secretariat for Youth at Skotina Pieria, divided into four time periods, from July 10 to August 28,2001.

Those interested to participate can apply at the Greek Embassies and Consulates as well as at the District SAE offices and the SAE Youth Forum. The last day for applications is Monday 4/23/2001.

The submission of the application does not result into the participation at the program and those that fulfill the criteria for participation will be preferred.

The travel expenses to and from Greece will be paid by the participants, while the rest of the expenses of staying, eating, internal travel and participation at the programmed events will be covered in total by the GGAE.

The program includes visits to archeological sights, discussions on issues of volunteerism, Olympic Games and Olympic Truce, Greek civilization with a series of relevant events, musical nights, etc.

Camping OLYMPUS is cited about 30 km. from Katerini and 100 km. from Thessaloniki. It is a camp space of 700.000 sq.meters, beside the sea and has all the necessary comforts to host up to 2.500 individuals.
