Kalymnos and the French city Arl become sister cities

The delegation from the Municipality of the island of Kalymnos, who participated at an event where Kalymnos and the French city Arl became sister cities, enjoyed a week dedicated to Greece. Arl is a medieval city of arts and letters, founded by ancient Fokaians. Today approximately 5.000 Hellenes live in the greater area of Arl, 3.000 of which originate from Kalymnos.
The two cities will proceed to the implementation of hospitality programs and the historical recording of the immigration from Kalymnos to Arl.
