BROACASTERS SALUTE A STAR-STUDDED GALA;25 MEDIA PERSONALITIES AT UHAC BANQUET

Twenty-five stellar Hellenes will be honored in the Salute to Broadcast Media of the United Hellenic American Congress at its 29th Annual Banquet Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, 160 East Pearson.

The Salute includes 6 individuals who are in ethnic broadcasting and 19 who work in the general media market in Chicagoland.

�We can anticipate a star-studded night, in an exceptionally brilliant environment enhanced by the sound of the Linardakis Band featuring Kate Rafferty,� said UHAC Chairman Andrew A. Athens. �The Salute honors individuals who through hard work, talent and vision have reached a position that our youth and all Greek-Americans can be proud of and look up to.�

Also honored at the banquet will be �Hellene of the Year� Kostas Zografopoulos who is leading the way by his example of contributing to the community.

UHAC, founded in 1974 to serve as an umbrella organization to unite Greek Americans, works nationally and locally to promote US government policies that are beneficial to Greece, Cyprus and Orthodoxy. UHAC founded the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center in Chicago, and publishes the Greek Star newspaper.
