The Holy Metropolis of Toronto will honor on Saturday January 15, 2005 the Greek National Football Team and its coach, Otto Rehagel, at a special event that will take place at the Metropolitan Center of Toronto with the presence of Canadian, Greek and officials of the Omogeneia.
At a press release, the Holy Metropolis of Toronto emphasizes the great interest shown by the Canadian Media for the arrival of the Greek National Football Team and Otto Rehagel. It should be noted that this is the first honorary event organized by the Omogeneia for Otto Rehagel. The coach will be accompanied by his assistant Yiannis Topalidis and the President of the National Football Federation, Vasilis Gagatsis.
On Friday January 14, 2005 the Metropolitan Center is organizing a party for approximately 2000 youth who will have the opportunity to re-live the magical moments of last summer and receive many gifts and mementos from the National Football Federation.
On Saturday January 15, 2005 the Holy Metropolis of Toronto will honor at 7 p.m. the Greek delegation in presence of the Mayors of Toronto and Suburbs, Hellene-Canadian MPs, Diplomats, the Ministers of Culture and Sports and the President of the Hellenic Community of Metropolitan Toronto, Mr. Menegakis.
On Sunday January 16, 2005 a Divine Service will take place at the Holy Church of St. Nikolas, with the presence of the Venerable Metropolitan Sotirios.
